The Queen’s Beasts At the coronation of Her Majesty The Queen, ten heraldic beasts, each six feet tall, stood guard at the temporary western entrance to Westminster Abbey. The Queen’s Beasts were sculpted by James Woodford RA for the coronation ceremony in 1953. The heraldic creatures symbolised the various strands

History tells of this local man born in Upton upon Severn that went to the local Grammar in Upton upon Severn and then went on to help save the lives of so many Soldiers in WW2. Tennant’s task was to organise the men and get them onto the ships waiting
