“The reception pupils of Hanley Swan C of E Primary School finished the year in style with a visit to the marvellous Tudor House Museum in Upton-Upon-Severn. The museum houses a wealth of interesting historical artefacts and exhibits, and the pupils were very keen to learn about all of them. It was an opportunity to revisit and gain first-hand experience of many of the topics covered in school during the year. From the River Severn to local transport, from Victorians houses and homes to old fashioned toys. Fabulous volunteers were on hand to answer the many questions that the pupils had and give us clues to the whereabouts of the cheeky mice (a child friendly trail) that were hiding all over the museum. Not only did the children get to learn so much, but they also had time to brush up on their art skills and have a go at sketching artefacts of interest throughout the museum. A huge thank you to the volunteers for such a warm welcome and providing the setting for a super class visit.” Mr Bundy, Class 1 Teacher
